What's New for the 2024 Toyota Corolla?
With decades of history impressing drivers in Toms River and beyond, the compact Toyota Corolla sedan leaves no room for disappointment. This car debuted its 12th generation in 2020 and has continued to be refined in recent years. In 2024, the Corolla XLE trim has been removed from the lineup. The popular Nightshade Edition trim level also makes a big comeback. It has all of the same features as you will find in the SE trim level, and it adds a vented sport wing, a black roof, dark badging, and bronze wheels.
All 2024 Corolla trim levels continue to have a 169-horsepower, four-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine. This is combined with a dynamic-shift continuously variable transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard across the board. Select trims also have a sport-tuned suspension system and a sport-driving mode.
Besides the trim-specific style updates to the Nightshade Edition, the 2024 Corolla's impressive style is unchanged. This small sedan has a bold, curved profile and a sharply angled nose. This establishes a sporty look, which is reinforced by the wide, A-shaped grille mounted low. This grille connects to the eye-catching air vents. Above the grille, a black band curves upward to link to the scythe-style LED headlights.
All of the 2024 Corolla trim levels are remarkably appointed. The base LE trim level includes lane departure mitigation, an 8-inch touch display screen, adaptive cruise control, forward collision mitigation, wireless Apple CarPlay with Android Auto, remote keyless entry, and an automatic climate control system. Selecting higher trim levels has many of the same features introduced in the Nightshade Edition. They may also come with a leather-trimmed steering wheel, a push-button ignition, sport seats, paddle shifters, a wireless charging pad, heated front seats, a blind-spot warning, a digital instrument cluster, and a few additional features.
