 What's New for the 2026 Toyota Camry?

The remarkable Toyota Camry's long-lasting appeal with car shoppers lies in its combination of spaciousness, modern features, and affordability. In 2026, the Camry is a mid-generation model with several exciting updates. Most of these updates are found on the Camry's exterior.

The new Camry Nightshade trim level takes its place between the XLE and XSE in the lineup. It adds dark badging and wheels as well as Midnight Black Metallic paint. Another new paint color is available in 2026 for the SE, XLE, and XSE trim levels. This is a brooding Dark Cosmos color.

Otherwise, the exterior of the 2026 Camry is unchanged. This sedan stands apart from others for all of the right reasons. This low-sitting model has strong curves from bumper to bumper. This is combined with modern front-end styling and bold back haunches for a sporty look. At the front end, a dark line running along the edge of the hood links the innovative headlights. These headlights are styled with a curved LED bar. The low-mounted grille has a radiating mesh pattern and bends toward the sides into the slanted, slender air inlets. Exterior features include a spoiler, heated side mirrors, dual exhaust tips, and alloy wheels.

All five of the 2026 Camry's trim levels have the same engine, but there are differences in their mechanical features. The four-cylinder hybrid engine gives you 225 horsepower with the front-wheel drivetrain or 232 horsepower with all-wheel drive. If you opt for the new Camry Nightshade, your sedan will have the same sport-tuned suspension that is offered in the SE and XSE trim levels.

The base Camry LE trim is outfitted with a wireless charging pad, forward collision mitigation, pedestrian detection with mitigation, a push-button starter, wireless smartphone integration, an 8-inch infotainment system screen, a dual-zone auto climate control system, adaptive cruise control, and more. Higher trim levels build on these features with synthetic leather upholstery, noise-reducing glass, keyless entry, a leather-wrapped and heated steering wheel, a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, a 12.3-inch touch display screen, a head-up display, heated seats, a panoramic sunroof, and several additional features.
