 What's New for the 2025 Toyota bZ4X?

The engaging Toyota bZ4X is an all-electric crossover SUV that launched in 2023. In 2025, the bZ4X is an even more appealing option thanks to a noticeable reduction in its price for the XLE and Limited trim levels. In addition to pricing, the bZ4X adds a Nightshade trim level with blacked-out exterior trim and a two-tone paint scheme.

Overall, the 2025 Toyota bZ4X’s style is unchanged from its 2024 counterpart. This small crossover features contemporary, edgy accent lines across the sloped hood and lower door panels. The thick, dark molding with sharp corners adds to the bZ4X’s individuality. At the front, a bent, body-colored element replaces the traditional grille, topped by a black band connecting the triangular headlights. These headlights are distinctive with three small LED bulbs and an LED ribbon. Some trims offer a rear spoiler, hands-free power liftgate, black trim, 20-inch wheels, and more.

The bZ4X is available with both single-motor and dual-motor layouts. The single-motor system delivers 201 horsepower with front-wheel drive and a 228-mile range. The dual-motor setup provides 228 horsepower, all-wheel drive, and a 222-mile range.

The only update to the 2025 bZ4X’s features is the addition of standard traffic jam assist on the Limited trim. Returning features include a power liftgate, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a six-speaker sound system, wireless charging pad, 12.3-inch infotainment screen, panoramic glass roof with sunshade, adaptive cruise control, safe exit alert, blind-spot detection, heated front and rear seats, digital key, JBL sound system with nine speakers, radiant heat, and more.

** EPA-estimated 119 combined MPGe for 2025 bZ4X XLE FWD; 112 combined MPGe for 2025 bZ4X Limited FWD; 104 combined MPGe for 2025 bZ4X XLE AWD; 102 combined MPGe for 2025 bZ4X Nightshade Edition and Limited AWD. MPGe is the EPA-equivalent of gasoline fuel efficiency for electric-mode operation. Use for comparison purposes only. Your MPGe/miles per kilowatt-hour will vary for many reasons, including your vehicle's condition and how/where you drive.
1. DC charging time will vary based on weather and other factors. DC charging times will increase as temperatures decrease, with significant increases possible at temperatures below freezing. DC Fast Charging should be limited to three sessions per day, regardless of the weather. After three 10-80% charge sessions, DC Fast Charging over the next day may take longer and be less effective. Accessory use, battery level and condition, and charger specifications also can negatively affect charging times.
2. Cargo and load capacity limited by weight and distribution. Always properly secure cargo and cargo area.
3. EPA-estimated 252-mile total driving range rating for 2025 bZ4X XLE FWD; 236-mile total driving range rating for 2025 bZ4X Limited FWD; 228-mile total driving range rating for 2025 bZ4X XLE AWD; and 222-mile total driving range rating for 2025 bZ4X Nightshade Edition and Limited AWD total driving range for when vehicle is fully charged and operated under ideal driving conditions. Use for comparison purposes only. Actual range may decrease significantly depending on speed, outside temperature, accessory use, how/where you drive, charging habits, and other factors. Battery capacity also decreases with time and use, which will reduce range.
