Performance

The most notable difference between the 2023 Corolla Cross and the 2023 Corolla Cross Hybrid is in their performance capabilities. The Corolla Cross comes in your choice of three trim levels, and these trims are all powered by the same engine. This gas engine is a 169-horsepower, four-cylinder, 2.0-liter system linked to a continuously variable automatic transmission. All trims have standard front-wheel drive and the option to upgrade to all-wheel drive. There are also three trims available for the Corolla Cross Hybrid. These trims draw 196 combined horsepower from a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter hybrid system. It comes with a CVT and standard all-wheel drive.

Appearance

There are subtle differences between these Toyota crossovers across the exteriors as well. The 2023 Corolla Cross features a tall roofline with thick, gray molding over the lower sides. The front end displays a large, molded bumper with a chrome-outlined, down-turned grille. The headlights trend inward to connect to the grille at a point. The 2023 Corolla Cross Hybrid is designed with a unique grille design and bumper. The A-frame grille is integrated with the bumper, lined at the top by a body-colored bar that holds the Toyota logo.
