Serving Toms River NJ
The midsize Toyota Tacoma is well-engineered to meet your needs for commuting and adventuring. In 2025, this pickup truck will be in the middle of its fourth generation and will introduce no updates. It continues to be available with eight trim levels, including the SR, SR5, TRD PreRunner, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, TRD Pro, and TRD Trailhunter. What are the main differences between the SR5 and the TRD Off-Road?
Performance
The 2025 Toyota Tacoma SR5 is outfitted with a turbo 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission. This system gives you 278 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque. If you choose the six-speed manual transmission, you will benefit from 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. The SR5 also has a coil spring suspension with the crew cab layout.
The Tacoma TRD Off-Road has the same powertrain. It is exclusively available with four-wheel drive. The suspension is upgraded with Bilstein remote-reservoir dampers.
Appearance
The Toyota Tacoma benefited from a design update in 2024 when the modelās fourth generation debuted. The look expresses power with its chiseled definition across the sides and strongly flared, squared-off fenders. The front endās design is equally commanding. The wide grille is rounded with tight bands forming the mesh. The LED headlights have a trapezoidal shape, and an ascending stack of LED bars supports them. The SR5ās exterior features include 17-inch alloy wheels, bed rails, tie-down cleats, a Class IV hitch, and a composite cargo bed. The TRD Off-Road builds on these features with all-terrain tires, multiple skid plates, and LED bed lighting.
Features
If you opt for the Tacoma SR5, your new truck will come with a blind-spot warning, keyless entry, lane departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control, an 8-inch touch display screen, wireless smartphone integration, forward collision mitigation, and a push-button engine starter.
The TRD Off-Road has these features: more speakers for the sound system, auto climate control, a leather-trimmed steering wheel, and a digital instrument panel.
