Performance
The 2026 RAV4 is available with a hybrid engine or a plug-in hybrid engine. The 2.5-liter, four-cylinder hybrid engine with front-wheel drive gives you 226 horsepower. An all-wheel drive option is also offered, and it produces 236 horsepower. The RAV4 Prime used to be a standalone model with a plug-in hybrid engine, but it is now incorporated into the RAV4 lineup. This system yields 320 horsepower and has a manufacturer-estimated all-electric range of up to 50 miles.
The 2026 CR-V's LX, EX, and EX-L are comparably outfitted with a turbo 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. This unit pairs with a continuously variable automatic transmission and puts out 190 horsepower. The higher trim levels have a flat-four, 2.0-liter hybrid engine that delivers 204 horsepower.
Appearance
The RAV4 sports a modernized look with flared, squared-off fenders and lip-style dark molding around the lower perimeter of the vehicle. At the front end, the dark grille extends to the bottom of the nose, and it is surrounded by a rectangular, body-colored element. The foglights are uniquely embedded in the grille. The headlights also have a refreshed look and are integrated with the grille.
The CR-V's design is unchanged for the 2026 model year. It has smooth surfaces with a tall profile. Below-the-belt molding runs across the sides. The grille has a classic Honda shape with wide-spaced mesh. The angled headlights have a slim shape and are topped with an LED bar.
Features
Inside the 2026 RAV4, you will find upgraded materials and a larger, 12.3-inch digital driver’s display screen. The 10.5-inch infotainment system screen is now fully integrated into the dashboard for a streamlined look. Some trims come with a 12.9-inch infotainment system screen. Other features include a heated steering wheel, wireless smartphone app integration, heated seats, adaptive cruise control, a flippable center console, and many other features.
