Serving Toms River NJ
Our customers at Gateway Toyota often ask about the differences between the Corolla and Camry sedans. The compact 2025 Corolla is wrapping up its 12th generation, while the midsize Camry launches its ninth generation in 2025. What should you know about these popular sedans before making your next purchase?
Performance
The Toyota Corolla will be offered in four trim levels in 2025: the LE, SE, Nightshade, and XSE. These trims all come with a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that generates 169 horsepower. The engine is paired with a dynamic-shift continuously variable auto transmission, and all trims have front-wheel drive. The SE and higher trims add a sport-tuned transmission and a sport-driving mode. The 2025 Camry has four trim levels: LE, SE, XSE, and XLE. These trims all have a four-cylinder hybrid powertrain that generates 225 horsepower. With all-wheel drive, the engine puts out 232 horsepower.
Appearance
The Corolla is designed with a tall, arched roof and a steeply sloped hood. The hood cascades into a narrow, black element that links the flared LED headlights. Below these elements, the wide grille trends outward to connect to large air vents. The wheels stand out with cropped, Y-shaped spokes. The Camry has an updated look with defined haunches and streaming, crisp elements along the upper and lower door panels. An innovative, amber-colored light bends around the lower sides of the grille, and LED headlights flank these elements. The grille is stunning with a radiating, honeycomb-style mesh. The air inlets flanking the grille are athletically angled.
Features
If you select the 2025 Toyota Corolla as your next sedan, your new car may have a digital instrument panel, a sunroof, a wireless charging pad, heated front seats, a blind-spot alert, a leather-covered steering wheel, remote keyless entry, a push-button ignition, lane keeping, lane departure mitigation, an 8-inch touch display screen, adaptive cruise control, and wireless smartphone app connections. The Camry is available with many of these features as well as a panoramic sunroof, a JBL sound system with nine speakers, a head-up display, parking sensors, traffic jam assist, a heated steering wheel, synthetic or authentic leather upholstery, a 12.3-inch infotainment system screen, and several additional features.
